Estes Home Designs
Creating a sustainable house in an established neighborhood in Phoenix:
A couple asks for a house with the main space as a central hub; A gathering space. The house should fit into the context and relate to the client’s love of local mid-century residential modernism.
Two designs are presented; one simple and cost efficient; the other more complex and introverted with a central atrium. Both designs limit east and west heat gain, allow for rain water collection, and would utilize radiant cooling.
