Thought provoking sculpture within a neighborhood park:

Ten figurative sculptures are arranged on existing boulders at a new neighborhood park on the edge of town. The area used to be considered a ‘frontier’, and is now becoming crowded enough with homes that a preserved area has become a park. Each figure is holding a bronze object representing what many people consider important in their lives (house, work, car, entertainment, etc). The figures are carrying these objects along a path as they enter the desert. Will they leave them behind or bring them with them into the ‘frontier’?
